today after I got my hair cut this older lady comes up to me and is like, “my son is in a band, with your new haircut you’d fit right in with them!”
i was like lol cool and then she was like, “have you ever heard of the band new found glory? my son’s the bassist!”
and that’s how i met the mother of a kind of famous person
and she said my haircut was awesome
which it is
I bet Ian’s Mom is awesome!

POZ Interview: New Found Glory
PropertyOfZack had the opportunity to speak with Jordan Pundik of New Found Glory a few weeks ago on Warped Tour for a brief interview. Jordan and I discussed what it’s been like to get back on Warped, the response to Radiosurgery, their upcoming Sticks And Stones tour, taking time off in 2013, and more. Check it all out below!
So it’s been several years since you guys have played Warped Tour. Did this year’s lineup make it feel like the right time to come back?
Yeah. This year we have a lot of friends. The Taking Back Sunday dudes, Man Overboard, Bayside; there’s so many dudes that we know. It’s like one big dude fest because it’s bands that we’ve toured with on our own tours on Warped Tour.It seems like a lot of the support that you guys have had on your past several US tours.
For sure, yeah.I know a lot of older bands have been vocal about trepidations for playing Warped the past several years because of that varying lineup.
I feel like in the previous years it was a little more towards metalcore and that kind of stuff. Which is totally cool. But I feel like this year is a way bigger mix of everything.Along with Taking Back Sunday, you are one of the older bands on the tour. But there are a lot of bands that you guys have helped out recently like Man Overboard and Fireworks as well. Is it really nice to both play the main stage and then see those younger bands that you’ve helped bring up play some of the bigger side stages as well?
Yeah. There’s even bands like Transit and… I’m trying to think of who else we know that have played on some of the side stages… There is just a lot of young up-and-coming bands. I feel like when you do Warped Tour, it’s almost like you have to work to get to play Warped Tour, you know? You have to work up to that point, and I feel like those bands actually deserve to be on the tour.You guys are still supporting Radiosurgery. How have the crowds been and have the new songs been going over well?
Yeah. A lot of people have been really stoked on this album. Because we do signings every day after our set. Everyone that comes to our signings has the album for us to sign and says, “I really love this album.” I’m really excited about that. It has been out for almost two years now. Well… Over a year and a half. Right? Didn’t it come out last January? Adam says no.

Was it? OK. Oh right because I’m thinking in band schedule timing. No you’re right. People have been saying that they love it. We’re only playing one new song on this tour though.Has the set list just been everything?
It’s mostly just the popular “Hit Or Miss,” “Truth Of My Youth,” “Something I Call Personality.”
